Salinas Valley Health has served many Hollister patients over the years and has recently brought cardiology services to 591 McCray Street in the Meridian Medical building, room 201.
Front office supervisor Prescilla Ramirez said that Salinas Valley received a lot of referrals from Hazel Hawkins Hospital, so it opened a new office in Hollister to accommodate local patients and spare them the drive to Salinas and back.
She said the office is only open on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. It has two providers who work at the Hollister location on a rotating basis.
Salinas Valley Health offers cardiology consultations to anyone over age 18, Ramirez said.
She said to make an appointment, residents should call the offices in Salinas or Monterey. If a new patient is calling, a referral from a doctor will be required.
Salinas Valley Health has cardiology offices in three other locations. Two are in Salinas and one is in Monterey.
