While two incumbents, Dom Zanger and Kollin Kosmicki, will remain on the San Benito Board of Supervisors, former Hollister Mayor Ignacio Velazquez will join the county’s legislative body in 2025. The San Benito County Elections office certified the 2024 March primary results March 29.
This is Kosmicki’s second term and it will be the first full term for Zanger who won a special election on 2022 to fill the District 1 seat which was vacated by Mark Medina in 2021 and later occupied by Betsy Dirks who was appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
County Clerk-Recorder/ Registrar of Voters Francisco Diaz told BenitoLink a presentation of the results to the San Benito County Board of Supervisors is scheduled for April 9.
According to the Secretary of State’s website, county elections officials must report final results for presidential delegates to the state by April 2 and all other state contests by April 5. The secretary of state will certify the results on April 12.
