The Hollister City Council is scheduled to receive a presentation about potentially adding all-way stop signs at four intersections and conducting a traffic study for San Benito Street.
According to the Feb. 20 agenda packet, the four stop locations would cost $42,550 and would be located at:
- Sunnyslope Road and Beverly Drive with a cost of $12,850.
- San Benito and Hawkins Streets with a cost of $9,900.
- South and Sally Street with a cost of $9,900.
- Jane Avenue and Spring Drive with a cost of $9,900. (According to Google Maps, there is no Jane Avenue in Hollister, but there is a Jan Avenue that crosses Spring Drive.)
The traffic study for San Benito Street between Hawkins and Nash Road is estimated to cost $60,634, but the agenda packet does not provide additional information.
Hollister City Council is scheduled to meet Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. (6:30 p.m. in open session) at City Hall located at 375 Fifth Street. The agenda packet can be found here.
